Princess Spa Prices and Services

Introduction

While I actually don’t recommend Princess cruisers utilize onboard spa services and have dedicated a whole article to why, I know the spa is an important part of cruising for many. The purpose of this post is to provide a price list for Princess spa services so you’ll know how much to budget for any desired treatments and to offer some tips for how to get the most for your money.

Princess Spa Prices and Services

Note that while this price list is fairly standard fleet-wide and current as of the date of posting, exact services and prices may vary slightly from ship to ship and prices do change. Always double check once onboard, but this should give you a good idea of what to expect. All prices are in U.S. dollars.

Tips for Saving Money on Princess Spa Services

Here are some common spa discounts you can look for on your Princess ship:

  • If you book three spa services, the first will be discounted 10%, the second 20%, and the third 30%. Make sure to use the 30% off for the most expensive treatment.
  • If you have a massage on embarkation day, the spa will add 25 minutes onto your treatment. So, for example, if you book and pay for a 50 minute bamboo massage, you’ll receive 75 minutes for the same price.
  • There are always port day spa discounts.
  • Sometimes there are specials and discounts that aren’t advertised, so always ask.
  • Those who are Platinum or Elite in the Captain’s Circle loyalty program will receive 10% off all spa services.

Remember…

  • The spa will always add an 18% gratuity to every spa service. You are welcome to tip on top of that, but it’s not expected.
  • “Upselling” is standard practice in cruise ship spas and sometimes it can be quite aggressive and ruin the peaceful, relaxing vibe. I’d suggest being upfront as soon as you arrive, “Before we begin, I just want to let you know I won’t be interested in purchasing any additional products or services, so no need to mention them to me.”
  • Always check your bill as soon as possible to make sure it’s accurate. All disputes will need to be settled directly with the spa (not the guest services desk) prior to disembarkation.

And with that…

Today’s Cruising Pro Tip:

Never purchase travel/cruise insurance through Princess. You’ll pay more and get less than if you purchase it on your own. Use a site like TravelInsurance.com* to compare rates and plans and get exactly what you want for the least amount of money. Simply enter your travel dates, total cost (cruise + airfare + any extras), and a few basic pieces of information about yourself and see a list of quotes. Savings can be significant and mean more to spend onboard, at port, or on another cruise!

Not one to use spa services except for the odd haircut. But I was onboard the Queen Mary and went to the gym. Did my workout and went to have a shower afterwards. Discovered I had to buy a spa package to use the showers. Now that’s what I call mean.
Don’t know if any other cruise lines do this (or other Cunard ships).

Based on my experience it’s about 50/50. I’m always happy when I ship has locker room and shower facilities open to those who haven’t paid for a spa pass or service!
