The majority of these menus were collected on my recent 16-day sailing on the Noordam. Some were also collected by a trusted friend currently onboard the Nieuw Statendam (because the Noordam doesn’t feature those restaurants). While most menus are fleet-wide, some dining room and Lido Marketplace buffet menus will vary depending on itinerary. Once onboard, daily menus will be posted to the Navigator App by mid-morning each day. Menus will also be posted outside dining rooms and specialty restaurants.
Once you’ve had a chance to peruse the menus, continue your pre-cruise training by increasing the number of calories you eat by 100 every day for at least 14 days prior to embarkation to gradually stretch out your stomach (some like to diet before a cruise, but I suggest the opposite if you want to fully take advantage of all the many delicious dining options on HAL – make room people, MAKE ROOM!). Also, check out my 25 Holland America Dining Secrets:
Here are the menus, starting with the Main Dining Room (MDR)…
There are generally two lunch menus on Holland America, a sea day menu and an “express” menu offered on some days in port. Check the “hours” and “dining” sections of the Navigator App to confirm if lunch is being served in the dining room.
This menu is served in the dining room on Christmas day.
The order of these dinner menus may vary depending on ship and itinerary. The “port to table” items may also vary depending on your itinerary. But these should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect.
