Carnival’s New Room Service Menu

Carnival recently announced more changes to room service, this time to the menu:

While continental breakfast items will remain complimentary from 6am-10am, all other items will be priced à la carte as of October 1, 2022. So, want to see the new menu? Or did you come here to see the awesome pocket photo I accidentally took this morning while rooting around for stray M&M’s (Good news, I found one!):

What? The menu? Fine. Drum roll please! Or perhaps we should play Chopin’s Marche Funèbre (Funeral March) to mark the end of most free room service on Carnival…

Carnival’s New Room Service Menu (Oct. 2022)

I anticipate three possible outcomes of this change:

  1. Those Carnival loyalists who have been threatening to “explore other options” every time the line has made a cut or change over the past 50 years because this is the “last straw” will continue to pack their own metal straws (they hated that change too) and get Funderstruck (of course, they’ll only pretend to have fun).
  2. This will actually be the last straw and I’ll go from losing 90% of the money I spent buying Carnival stock right before Covid to 100%. Sigh.
  3. Drunk spring breakers will order a ton of pricey late night room service, revenue will increase, Carnival stock will go up, and I’ll have more money for cruises.

While I don’t personally plan on ordering any of the new room service items, I’m crossing my fingers for #3. And with that…

Class Dismissed!

Homework (10 points): Share your thoughts on the new Carnival room service menu to the comments. Then go HERE to learn of other cuts Carnival has made recently. Then go HERE to read my retraction. (Now you’re probably wondering if this new room service menu is satire. It’s not. It’s 100% legit, but don’t take my word for it – triangulate your sources!)
