Carnival Testing NEW Dinner Menus This Summer

A carnival ship and two menus with text that reads: BREAKING NEWS: Carnival testing NEW dinner menus this summer

Those who have enjoyed ordering from dinner menus in the main dining room on Carnival ships that have remained virtually unchanged for the past 300 years (that’s an exaggeration, but only a slight one) will be crushed to learn that NEW dinner menus are rolling out soon across the entire Carnival fleet. Read on for the details announced today by Carnival President, Christine Duffy.

Carnival to Test New Menus on the Dream this Summer

Starting this Saturday (6/17/2023) on the Carnival Dream, testing of all new menus in the main dining room will begin.

How will the New Carnival Menus be Different?

The new menus were created in collaboration with Carnival’s Chief Culinary Officer, Emeril Lagasse, and will incorporate feedback from passengers. The menus will include:

  • Nearly 60 new rotating entrees
  • More offerings from specialty dining restaurants across the fleet
  • Bigger portions for certain entrees
  • More vegetarian options
  • An entree salad (described as a big salad with a protein)
  • Carnival Journeys sailings will offer more variety

What will NOT change on Carnival’s New Dining Room Menus?

Fan favorites such as Carnival chocolate melting cake and bitter and blanc will live to see another day at sea (until they are devoured by yours truly in under 2 seconds).

When will the New Carnival Menus be Rolled out Fleet Wide?

The new menus will begin rolling out fleet-wide this fall after adjustments are made based on passenger feedback. So if you want a say in the new menus, you better book the Dream this summer!

Do not see a problem with the new menus , just do not stopping offering the Chocolate Melting Cake!!

    • Prof. Cruise says:

Agreed! I’m happy they confirmed that it will still be offered!

      • Debora Kinney says:

Emeril Lagasse loves way too much seafood for me. His bistro on Celebration is a no go zone for seafood allergens. They need more chicken and pork recipes.

      or the Creme Brulee’

  2. Erica Bailey says:

I went vegan on a carnival cruise based on their health coach…only to find NO VEGAN OPTIONS available on my next cruise. Just a thought. If you promote vegan eating, have vegan options available! (Also helps people with egg and dairy allergies)

  3. Deana Faulkner says:

No more PEANUT OIL please! Folks with peanut allergy cannot eat at Guy’s or have Pizza 🙁

    • Prof. Cruise says:

I’m really surprised they would use peanut oil when so many people have nut allergies.

    • Lucy Durbin says:

Peanut oil does not have the proteins that people are allergic to. A person with a peanut allergy can eat foods cooked in the oil.
