***UPDATE*** A FINAL VERSION OF THE NEW CARNIVAL DINNER MENUS HAS BEEN RELEASED. SEE THE FINAL FLEET-WIDE MENUS HERE***

As I recently announced, Carnival is finally rolling out new main dining room dinner menus fleet-wide this fall and has begun testing a first version of the new menus on the Dream. Here are the test menus currently available exclusively on the Dream. I’ll be posting the final, fleet-wide version of the menus as soon as I receive them. In the meantime, post your feedback to the comments here and to John Healds Facebook page.

I hope they didn’t get rid of the strawberry bisque! That’s my favorite appetizer and it always used to be on day 1.

  2. Nice menu price of boat going up 3 dollars.in Oct it was 20 now 23.would also like to see 7 day menu

I read recently about the partnership with Emeril. I knew Mardi Gras had his influence (sailing in December this year) but I didn’t know it was fleet-wide. I have sailed Carnival extensively and always enjoyed the food in the main dining room. I’m not that big a fan of Cajun flavors and am not sure how popular these offerings will be. The BBQ fish doesn’t appeal to me, but others could certainly feel differently. It’s good that Carnival is looking for ways to keep things fresh and interesting but I don’t think Emeril was the way to go fleet-wide. Someone more current like Richard Blais, or someone with more general appeal would have been a better choice in my opinion. Gordon Ramsey, that’d be a dream come true.
I guess we’ll see how it goes.

Thank you so much for posting these menus. I am a little afraid….. I think I will like a couple of the new items that have been presented so far, but I am not seeing some favs like spaghetti carbonara, fried calamari, and braised beef brisket which usually would have already been served by night 3. I will also miss the option of salmon which was available most nights. I do like that finally we are being told what the Indian options for the night are. Hopefully, I will eventually see those dishes I only get when on a Carnival cruise. I am on edge to see what the menus for the remainder of the nights hold!

    • Dawn says:

I think the menus needed a huge overhaul, but I think this missed the mark. I love Emeril’s, but the options selected aren’t things that would have mass appeal. Also, why not do a night featuring Cucina del Capitano, a night featuring Asian dishes from Chibang, a night featuring Mexican dishes from Chibang, a night featuring a dish from the Seagrill…you get the idea. Just a small selection from each premium restaurant each night. It may convince people who normally wouldn’t book upcharge dining to book.

  7. Lavonne Benedict says:

I think there is a good mixture there for different nationalities. I love trying new things on cruises. We love the chocolate cake and the crème brûlée
Are there changes coming to the buffet also. The last cruise we were on the cakes had no flavor. Looked pretty but we’re dry, not moist. Need more diabetic desserts also.

  8. Darlene says:

Not impressed at all. Not everyone likes Emeril’s food. If these changes are permanent, I’ll cancel my dinner reservations and take my chances with the buffet. Let’s hope Carnival doesn’t screw around with that. This is going to be my first cruise, but with these menu changes along with some other disappointing issues, it just might be my last as well. I have a feeling, this is going to be a very long 8 days.

    • Lucinda Meyer says:

I never thought I would like cruising but after 5 minutes on the boat I was hooked. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your cruise. There are so many food options you’ll always be able to find something you like.
Watch videos about the food options on board and make a list of what sounds appealing. Then track them down and check them out.
Believe me, nobody goes hungry on a cruise!

  9. Amanda says:

I’m currently on carnival Dream with the new menus. So far we aren’t impressed. We have always exclusively cruised carnival. That will be changing if the food doesn’t improve this week. ☹️

  10. Rick Thomas says:

What are the prices for these meals?

    • Prof. Cruise says:

They are complimentary (included with your cruise fare) unless otherwise noted (there are a few “up charge” items with prices listed).

  11. Monica Carson says:

I love that the menu has been change but me having kidney disease leaves me to not have a lot of good selection choices. I wonder if I can substitute items that can’t have for something else?
