Yay, prices are going up again! Said no one ever. But, like it or not, it’s a reality across cruise lines these days as cruise companies try to recover from the shutdown, battle inflation, and maximize profits for shareholders. The latest price increase comes from Carnival with a $10 increase per day to the line’s popular Cheers drink package for 3, 4, and 5 night cruises (no change for cruises 6 nights or longer). Here’s the old vs new pricing structure:
Current Pre-Cruise Price: $59.95 (per day)
New Pre-Cruise Price: $69.95 (per day)
Current Onboard Price: $64.95 (per day)
New Onboard Price: $74.95 (per day)
*18% service charge added to all packages
**All prices in US dollars
***These new prices only apply to cruises under 6 nights. Cruises of six nights or greater will remain unchanged.
The new pricing goes into effect on October 9, 2023 for all U.S. sailings 5-nights or less, departing on or after December 1, 2023. If you were planning on purchasing the Cheers package for an upcoming cruise, do so now to lock in the current price.
If you’d like to price out just paying for your drinks individually, you can find all the bar menus with pricing here:
