Carnival Movies for October

A Carnival cruise ship, movie tickets, a movie reel, and popcorn with text that reads: Dive-in movies coming to Carnival ships in October 2023.

“Dive-In Movies” on Carnival are one of the things I love most about the line. So if you’re booked on a Carnival cruise soon, be sure to grab a ($4) bag of popcorn, some buffet desserts, and a beverage, pull up a lounger, and enjoy a flick at sea! Here are the movies that will be shown on Carnival cruises for the last week of September and October 2023. To see when specific movies are playing on your sailing, check your daily printed Fun Times schedule or the Carnival HUB app. Note that not every movie will be shown on every sailing.

In the Heights

2021, Musical, Rated PG-13

Description (Courtesy of Rotten Tomatoes):

“The creator of “Hamilton” and the director of “Crazy Rich Asians” invite you to the event of the summer, where the streets are made of music and little dreams become big… “In the Heights.” Lights up on Washington Heights… The scent of a cafecito caliente hangs in the air just outside of the 181st Street subway stop, where a kaleidoscope of dreams rallies this vibrant and tight-knit community. At the intersection of it all is the likable, magnetic bodega owner Usnavi (Anthony Ramos), who saves every penny from his daily grind as he hopes, imagines and sings about a better life. “In the Heights” fuses Lin-Manuel Miranda’s kinetic music and lyrics with director Jon M. Chu’s lively and authentic eye for storytelling to capture a world very much of its place, but universal in its experience.”

Designed by brilliant toy-company roboticist Gemma (Get Out’s Allison Williams), M3GAN can listen and watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector, for the child she is bonded to. When Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady (Violet McGraw, The Haunting of Hill House), Gemma’s unsure and unprepared to be a parent. Under intense pressure at work, Gemma decides to pair her M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to resolve both problems–a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.”

But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?”
