Carnival Movies for June

“Dive-In Movies” on Carnival are one of the things I love most about the line. So if you’re booked on a Carnival cruise soon, be sure to grab a bag of popcorn (Carnival recently raised the price of popcorn from $3 to $4), some buffet desserts, and a beverage, pull up a lounger, and enjoy a flick at sea! Here are the movies that will be shown on Carnival cruises in June of 2023. To see when movies are playing on your sailing, check the daily schedule on the Carnival HUB app or stop by the Guest Services deck for a printed copy (not every movie will be shown on every sailing).

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

2022, Kids & Family/Comedy, Rated PG

Description (Courtesy of Rotten Tomatoes):

“For the first time in more than a decade, DreamWorks Animation presents a new adventure in the Shrek universe as daring outlaw Puss in Boots discovers that his passion for peril and disregard for safety have taken their toll. Puss has burned through eight of his nine lives, though he lost count along the way. Getting those lives back will send Puss in Boots on his grandest quest yet. Academy Award® nominee Antonio Banderas returns as the voice of the notorious PiB as he embarks on an epic journey into the Black Forest to find the mythical Wishing Star and restore his lost lives. But with only one life left, Puss will have to humble himself and ask for help from his former partner and nemesis: the captivating Kitty Soft Paws (Oscar® nominee Salma Hayek). In their quest, Puss and Kitty will be aided–against their better judgment–by a ratty, chatty, relentlessly cheerful mutt, Perro (Harvey Guillén, What We Do in the Shadows). Together, our trio of heroes will have to stay one step ahead of Goldilocks (Oscar® nominee Florence Pugh, Black Widow) and the Three Bears Crime Family, “Big” Jack Horner (Emmy winner John Mulaney, Big Mouth) and terrifying bounty hunter, The Big Bad Wolf (Wagner Moura, Narcos).”

“Journey around the world and experience some of the most exotic and beautiful places still in existence. State-of-the-art technology delivers stunning images of indigenous people, unique animals and spectacular landscapes that most of us will never see. Let this astonishing showcase be your gateway to the magic, mysteries and beauty of this place everyone calls home.”

Shazam! Fury of the Gods

2023, Action/Adventure, Rated PG-13

Description (Courtesy of Rotten Tomatoes):

“From New Line Cinema comes “Shazam! Fury of the Gods,” which continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.”

The Woman King

2022, Action/Drama, Rated PG-13

Description (Courtesy of IMDb):

“The Woman King is the remarkable story of the Agojie, the all-female unit of warriors who protected the African Kingdom of Dahomey in the 1800s with skills and a fierceness unlike anything the world has ever seen. Inspired by true events, The Woman King follows the emotionally epic journey of General Nanisca (Oscar®-winner Viola Davis) as she trains the next generation of recruits and readies them for battle against an enemy determined to destroy their way of life. Some things are worth fighting for.”
