Major Changes Coming to Princess Plus and Princess Premier Packages

Princess Announces Major Changes to Princess Plus and Princess Premier

Princess has announced major changes coming to the line’s two popular cruise packages: Princess Plus and Princess Premier.

Princess Plus and Princess Premier: What’s Changing?

Many loyal Princess cruisers are wondering how Princess Plus and Princess Premier will be changing and when these changes will take effect.

Here’s exactly what’s changing:

Princess Plus

  • The price will increase from $60 per day to $65 per day ($70 per day for Sphere Class ships)
  • Two additional casual dining meals will be included (for a total of four)
  • The package will no longer include premium desserts, juice bar access, Medallion shipping, fitness classes, and Princess prizes
  • There will now be a 15 drink per person/per day limit. Specialty coffee and tea beverages are not included in that limit. Water is also not included in the limit, but will be capped at 12 per person/per day.

Princess Premier

  • The price will increase from $90 per day to $100 per day ($105 per day for Sphere Class ships)
  • A new shore excursion credit will be added as follows: $100 for cruises 6-9 days, $200 for cruises 10-20 days, and $300 for cruises 21+ days
  • The package will no longer include premium desserts, juice bar access, Medallion shipping, fitness classes, and Princess prizes

Summary of Exactly what the New Princess Plus and Princess Premier Packages will Include:

When will the Changes to the Princess Plus and Princess Premier Packages Take Effect?

The new Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages will go on sale July 22, 2025 and will be offered for cruises embarking in 2026 and later.

What if I Booked my Cruise Before July 22, 2025?

Cruisers who booked prior to July 22, 2025 will have their original price and package honored.

What do you Think of the Changes to Princess Plus and Princess Premier?

While some will welcome these changes, some will be disappointed with the increase in cost and the elimination of many previously included items. Please share to comments what you think of the revised packages.

I ALWAYS buy travel insurance (especially during these uncertain times) to cover my cruises, but I NEVER purchase it through Princess. It costs more and usually covers less than policies you purchase on your own. I go through sites like travelinsurance.com* to compare plans and prices and get the best deal for the coverage I want. Spend less on insurance and spend more on cocktails, excursions, special onboard cruise experiences, and…future cruises!

*I receive a small commission at no extra cost to you for items and services purchased through affiliate links on my site. All funds go toward maintaining the blog. Thanks for your support!
