NCL Cagney’s Steakhouse Menu 2023

A photo of the 2023 Cagney's menu on NCL with text that reads: NCL MENUS. CAGNEY'S STEAKHOUSE MENU 2023. SEE WHAT'S CHANGED!

Sailing into 2023, there have been a few changes to the Cagney’s Steakhouse menu on NCL and I’ve had several people contact me to see if I have a copy of the updated version. I do! But first, here’s the old version for comparison purposes:

What’s Changed on the New Cagney’s Menu?

You’ll note the following changes (most are increases in the à la carte prices, but there are a few more significant changes too):

1. The “Jumbo Lump Crab Cake” is now described as a “Crab Cake” and no longer carries a $5 dining package supplement. The à la carte price is still $19.

2. The “Black Tiger Shrimp Trio” is now described as a “Jumbo Shrimp Trio.” Black tiger shrimp is usually more expensive, so this looks like a move to cut costs. The à la carte price is still $19.

3. The à la carte price for Ahi Tuna Tartare has gone from $15 to $18.

4. The à la carte price for Oysters Rockefeller has gone from $15 to $18.

5. The à la carte price for Lobster Bisque has gone from $12 to $14.

6. The à la carte price for Baked Onion Soup has gone from $10 to $11.

7. The à la carte price for The Iceberg Wedge has gone from $9 to $11.

8. The à la carte price for the Beefsteak Tomato has gone from $9 to $11.

9. The à la carte price for the Slow Roasted Prime-Rib 16 oz has gone from $35 to $39.

10. The à la carte price for the Double-Cut Australian Lamb Chops 12 oz has gone from $39 to $43.

11. The Rib Eye is now written as two words instead of one (someone got busted by the spelling police) and the à la price has gone from $35 to $39.

12. The à la carte price for the the Petit Filet Mignon 5 oz has gone from $29 to $31.

13. The à la carte price for the the Filet Mignon 8 oz has gone from $39 to $41.

14. The Porterhouse 20 oz now carries a $20 dining package supplement and the à la carte price has gone from $45 to $47.

15. The à la carte price for the the New York Strip 12 oz has gone from $35 to $39.

16. The Bone-In Tomahawk is no longer offered.

17. The à la carte price for the Cedar Plank Steelhead Trout has gone from $29 to $33.

18. The à la carte price for the Grilled Jumbo Shrimp Skewer has gone from $35 to $36.

19. The à la carte price for sides has gone from $8 to $9.

20. The Double-Cut Pork Chop is no longer described as “Berkshire”

And with that…

Class Dismissed!

Glad I have the dining package!
I’m guessing the crab cake is smaller but hopefully as good as before.

  2. Bill Clatworthy says:

Prices up, staffing down. Will we notice a difference in quality. I’ve got one more NCL cruise scheduled. Am I going to want to book with them again? I’ll let you know.

    • Prof. Cruise says:

Yes, please let us know how your next one goes. As of now, I don’t have another one booked on NCL until December. Curious to hear how things are going.

  3. Chris says:

    What happened to dessert?

  4. mike says:

also the double cut pork chop is no longer described as ‘berkshire’

  5. Francesca says:

Do you have a direct link to the pdf version on NCL? I have them for all the other restaurants on the Star but can’t find it for Cagney’s.

    • Prof. Cruise says:

Hi Francesca. No, I don’t. I haven’t been able to find it either – even going through a current booked reservation. If I find it, I’ll post it here. I’m going to be on the Star in December. When’s your cruise?

  6. mike says:

note — on the Feb 5 – 12 NCL Joy sailing the Tomahawk was back again — for a $30 surcharge. The gentleman seating next to us ordered it. Looked good but way too much for me. 🙂

  7. Carol Douglass says:

if we have the dining package, what does that include from the menu? starter and soup/salad or choose just one? Main entree icludes how many sides? and I am assuming dessert? Thank you

    • Prof. Cruise says:

It includes one appetizer course (either soup/salad/appetizer), one entree course, one dessert, and unlimited sides. Enjoy!!!

  8. Lori Mingo says:

Hi Prof…I just got off the Norwegian Epic on March 12, 2023 and had the Tomahawk steak at Cagney’s. I have a picture of the menu, and also pictures of my Tomahawk if you are interested. I don’t know why you are saying that it has been removed from the menu 🤷‍♀️

    • Prof. Cruise says:

That’s great news! It must be back! It was removed (as per the menu I posted) for a time. Many, many people were upset. Thanks for the happy update!
