For those of you eagerly awaiting a peak at the Carnival dinner menus in the MDR, today is your lucky day (or unlucky if you have to look at these without a cruise planned soon or if you’re dieting in preparation for an upcoming cruise…CLOSE YOUR BROWSER NOW).
Here are the MDR menus for Carnival 7 day cruises updated for 2022. While there may be some slight variations depending on your specific ship, sailing dates, and itinerary, these will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect.

All of the appetizers always look far more..appetizing? I have decided this cruise to just make my meal out of those most nights! I had really been hoping they’d update the menus with all the time off they had. Oh well. Honestly, last cruise I took, we ate in the MDR two nights out of 14 (it was a B2B!). We have big plans for a nightly “solo cruisers dinner” this trip. Most of us have YTD so we’ll pick a time and it’s a no pressure/chance to eat with others if you want kind of thing. So I’ll probably end up there more this time!

My husband often just orders appetizers for dinner. One time he even ordered every appetizer on the menu. It was a little embarrassing. Lol. I love your idea for the solo dinners. Maybe I should try to organize something like that for my sailing!

Remember she said she had no idea what order the menu would be in. Who knows what night we’ll have escargot but I’ll be eating it for sure!
Yes, I can’t guarantee the order of these menus will be the same. And there might be small variations depending on your particular sailing. They should be pretty close though. You’ll definitely get some escargot!
On my 10,11 14 & 15 night cruises the menu was different every night

What can I drink as a beverage that’s free and can bring a tumbler of my own drink to dinner?
Yes, you can bring your own tumbler to drink with your dinner. Free drinks include water, milk and chocolate milk and juices (at breakfast only), ice tea, lemonade, coffee and tea.
I have never cruised Carnival. What does the asterix (*) indicate on the menu? Like Broiled Flat Iron Steak under “From the Grill” on day 7 (the first listing above)

You have the day 6 menu (2nd formal night) and the writing you added indicates it’s the first formal night. The same for the 2nd day menu (1st formal night) as the second formal night. This is causing some confusion as people are now insisting the lobster is free on the second formal night. The menus you have shown are correct it’s just the wording has the two formal nights mixed up.

You’ve got the Grand Mariner Souffle on the 1st and the 6th night as the main (1st) dessert…and Carnival usually has tiramisu, my favorite. You’ve got a messed up sequence my friend!
Thanks for the catch! These were sent to me by Carnival. I’m boarding in 2 days, so I’ll update as soon as I can see them with my own eyes and taste them with my own buds! I love the tiramisu too! Although I wouldn’t mind two of the souffles…love that one too!

If I may. Tying in 7-day Carnival menu thread asking which nights are formal on the 7-day cruises. This stuff changes from time to time and reason to reason, and I haven’t sailed Carnival in 3 years. That will change in 2022. But, for now, to your wisdom, functional crystal ball, and overall greatness, do you know with SOME certainty which nights are the formal dining room nights. The lobster night seems obvious based on menu review. But, if ships change the menu order of course we have no control over that either and doesn;t allow for us to determine which nights are the actual formal nights on any given 7 day itinerary on any given CARN ship! Appreciate any insight. I am trying to book into Chef’s table and steakhouse in advance but NOT on the FORMAL NIGHT’s !!!! TYIA.
They are usually on nights 2 and 6.
Appreciate the work you put into gathering and posting this information. Many cruisers like us take our eating pretty seriously whilst on vacation. We have so much fun “planning” out bites as we count down the clocks.
